The Hawkeye Aerial Photography Platform
Designed by Joel Shultz in Texas, the Hawkeye may be described as a remotely-controlled microlight airplane. It is powered by an electric motor and battery which gives in the region of ten minutes flying time.
The camera is mounted on the nose of the plane and can be controlled remotely. Subjects are chosen by a combination of angling the camera up or down by remote control and pointing the plane in the right direction.
The plane is normally hand-launched and is easy to control whilst airborne making it ideal for those with little flying experience.
